Grandma lit the spark, cakes started the fire, and now we’re elbow-deep in cookie dough. This is how Sweet on CRUMBS was born.

OUR STORY

It all started in a cozy kitchen with my grandmother, Maureen Adkin—a woman who could bake circles around anyone and made magic with butter and sugar. In the ’90s, she ran “The Old Firehall Coffee Roastery” in downtown Nanaimo, BC. That café may be long gone, but her passion, grit, and love for baking never left our family.

Before she passed in 2023, she looked me square in the eyes and told me to chase my dream—with sugar, heart, and a little flair. So I did.

In May 2024, Sugar Bliss was born. We started with wedding cakes—our first love—and poured everything we had into making each one as unforgettable as the moments they celebrated.

But something wild and wonderful happened...

Cookies crashed the party! Big, bold, ridiculously indulgent cookies. Gooey centers. Golden edges. Packed with nostalgia and unapologetic joy. And you all went nuts for them. Before we knew it, we were knee-deep in dough, dreaming up flavor bombs, and shipping them across Canada.

That’s when Sweet on CRUMBS came to life—a brand as playful, over-the-top, and crave-worthy as the cookies themselves. Still rooted in love, legacy, and family—but now with a twist of chaos, creativity, and pure cookie magic.

As a mom building a dream with my daughter by my side—while honoring the woman who taught me everything I know—every cookie means something. When you take a bite, you’re not just tasting a treat.You’re tasting a story. A dream. A little piece of three generations—poured into dough, dusted with love, and made to make you smile.

At the heart of Sweet on Crumbs is our founder and pastry chef, Megan Masters—a passionate creator with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality and culinary world. What started as a love for custom cakes has grown into a bold and playful bakery known for over-the-top, luxury half-pound cookies—each one handcrafted with creativity, care, and serious flavor.

Based in Hamilton, Ontario, we operate as a licensed home bakery with a designated commercial space, allowing us to bake everything fresh to order and ship our indulgent cookies across Canada.

Megan pours her heart into every batch, blending nostalgic inspiration with modern flair. From throwback classics to imaginative new flavors, every cookie is a celebration of quality, artistry, and pure joy.
